About MEDA

The Mission Economic Development Authority (MEDA) is a non-profit organization created to encourage the expansion and development of economic growth in the City of Mission and surrounding areas.

Mission Economic Development Authority is dedicated to the creation of new job opportunities for our citizens through attraction, retention, and expansion of businesses. We are a non-profit 501(c)4 organization ready to offer our assistance to the public, local businesses and prospective businesses in site selection, area demographics, planning, workforce development, construction issues, and other items.

Partially funded through a local ½ cent sales tax dedicated to economic development, Mission Economic Development Authority's purpose is to support, encourage and assist in sustainable economic growth for the City of Mission and the surrounding communities. Mission Economic Development Authority, commonly referred to as MEDA, is overseen by an active volunteer Board of Directors made up of members of our community, City leadership and the business community.

MEDA manages the marketing of every aspect of development the city has to offer, through public relation with local, state, national and international mediums and trade publications. Together the City of Mission, Mission Economic Development Authority, Mission Economic Development Corporation and the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce promote and create a positive business environment within the city.
